Getting published can be a daunting task. At Unheard Magazine, we think getting published should be easy! Please submit your work via our online form.
(Due to a high volume of submissions, and an extremely small staff, email responses may take a while.)
| Unheard Magazine is only possible through the submissions of generous contributors like you. We invite you to be a part of our upcoming issues by submitting your own creative work. | |
FAQ (You can read the full FAQ here.)
- Do you accept work episodic or installment stories?
Yes! However, we do ask that they end with a partial conclusion to encourage readers breathlessly awaiting your next installment.- How long can my submission be?
Since we are publishing digitally, there is no strict limit, but we like to keep things under 50 pages.- Is there anything you don’t accept?
We do NOT accept op-ed essays, fan-fiction, pornography, explicit graphic violence, hate literature, or any work that you do not hold the copyright to. All submissions are subject to our admittedly biased editorial approval.- So, can I have nudity, swearing, sex, and violence in my work?
Yes. We only ask that you keep it to an “R” rated movie level.- Will my work be edited?
Except for practical purposes (spelling, grammar, design, etc.), we won’t edit or alter the content of your work without your permission.
- How will you protect my work once I submit it?
We take copyright very seriously and want to help you keep the rights to your own work. All submissions are protected under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. Meaning, you allow us to publish it but you keep your copyright.

What is copyright?
Understanding copyright law can be a highly confusing and boring endeavor. Still, taking some time to learn someof the basics will help ensure a better future for your hard work. Chilling Effects has a great copyright FAQ. We recommend starting there. You should also check out the official U.S. Copyright Office copyright FAQ.
